- Gettel Nissan is the lead sponsor for the 2009 Hispanic-Latino Festival (Oct. 3)
- Gettel Hyundai is the Lead Sponsor for the 1st Annual Sarasota Pumpkin Festival (Oct. 30, 31, 2009)
- Since January 2009 more than 25 non-profit and for-profit companies and organizations have taken advantage of Gettel Acura's offer to use our state-of-the art Community Room to host off-site meetings for free to save money during these difficult economic times.
- Gettel Acura served as presenting sponsor for the 13th Annual Meadows Cup golf tournament (2009). The event raised close to $40,000 for Easer Seals Southwest Florida.
- In December the Sarasota-Manatee area dealerships hosted Manatee Operation Troops Support (MOTS) events the enabled people from the community to send messages of hope, holiday greetings and care packages specifically to men and woman from the Sarasota-Manatee area who are stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- For the third year in a row, Gettel Nissan served as the presenting sponsor for Giving Hunger the Blues, which brought together more than 9,000 people and raised close to $100,000 for the All Faiths Food Bank (2009).
- Gettel Acura hosted and co-sponsored the 2009 Men's Health Forum.
- Gettel Acura served as presenting sponsor for two Sarasota Orchestra concert series (2008-09).
- Gettel Nissan served as presenting sponsor for the 2009 USTA Senior Father & Son Clay Court Tennis Championship, and has agreed to serve as presenting sponsor in 2010.
- Gettel Nissan was presenting sponsor for Big Brothers Big Sisters' "Hill Harper Mentoring Day" event, a daylong series of presentations and book signings geared to adults and youngsters, featuring author and CSI-New York actor Hill Harper addressing the importance of mentoring in building strong communities.
- Gettel Nissan was a sponsor of the 2008 "Make A Difference" community cleanup day.
- Gettel Toyota was a major sponsor for Take Stock in Children of Manatee County 10K Run/Walk, which raised more than $40,000 for college scholarships - that $40,000 is matched dollar-for-dollar by the Florida Pre-Paid College fund.
- Gettel Hyundai served as presenting sponsor for the 2008 Meadows Cup.
- Gettel Acura was a major sponsor for Big Brothers Big Sisters' 2008 Sports Legends weekend.
- Gettel Nissan hosted and sponsored the Latin Chamber of Commerce April (2009) networking event.
- Gettel Nissan hosted and sponsored the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce June (2009) Power Lunch Networking event.
- Gettel Toyota hosted and sponsored the Manatee Chamber of Commerce's July (2009) Business After Hours networking event.
- Gettel Nissan sponsored and hosted the first Black Business & Professional Network and Latin Chamber of Commerce joint networking event (2008).
- Gettel Acura hosted the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce's Trustee Holiday Party (Dec. 2008).
- Gettel Hyundai purchased more than 5,500 tickets to a Sarasota Reds game at Ed Smith Stadium in August 2008, inviting the community to come to the game for free as our way of saying thank you to the community for its support. This resulted in the largest ever crowd – 6,995 people – in attendance at a Sarasota Reds game at the stadium.
