The 2024 Pathfinder and the 2024 Traverse have three rows of seats. Hence, they are rated to carry up to eight occupants. Furthermore, either of these three-row SUVs can be specified with captain chairs. This option replaces the second-row bench seat with two individual seats. Seating capacity is reduced to seven, but buyers gain a more comfortable and premium experience. Furthermore, captain chairs are excellent for passengers who need extra comfort. Selecting captain chairs for the 2024 Pathfinder also provides a removable second-row center console with extra storage.
Then, the 2024 Pathfinder includes features such as tri-zone automatic climate control for all trims. Moreover, higher trims get heated and ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, and heated rear seats. Buyers can also choose a semi-aniline leather upholstery for the seats. Some of these features are also available for 2024 Traverse buyers.
Plus, 2024 Pathfinders without captain chairs get 60-40 split-folding second-row seats as standard. A motion-activated rear liftgate is available, too. Furthermore, the 2024 Pathfinder’s trunk features a hidden underfloor storage area that’s ideal for muddy boots or wet clothing. Both midsize three-row SUVs also have cup holders for all three rows. Front-seat passengers will get a spacious center console storage bin and a deep glovebox.
The 2024 Traverse may come with a standard 11-inch digital gauge cluster, but the 2024 Pathfinder can be outfitted with a 12.3-inch unit. Furthermore, both models support Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, and Bluetooth® for smartphone integration. Higher trims of the 2024 Pathfinder also get a 13-speaker Bose® premium sound system. Both vehicles can also be equipped with a heads-up display and a wireless phone charger.
Every 2024 Nissan Pathfinder features a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 under the hood. The engine makes 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque for most trims. The Rock Creek trim has been retuned to 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. A 9-speed automatic gearbox is standard. Selected trims also get steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
The 2024 Pathfinder is front-wheel drive for most trims, but four-wheel drive is available. When four-wheel drive is specified, a seven-mode drive selector is added too. Modes include Snow/Rain, Sand, Mud/Ruts, Eco, Normal, Sport and Tow. The off-road-focused Rock Creek trim comes with special 18-inch beadlock-style aluminum alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, and off-road-tuned suspension. A brake-actuated limited-slip differential is fitted to all four-wheel drive variants as well.
The 2024 Chevy Traverse has a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine for all trims. The 328-hp engine produces 326 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available, as is an off-road-focused Z71 trim. This trim includes a twin-clutch all-wheel drive system, off-road tires, and enhanced suspension.
The 2024 Pathfinder can tow up to 6,000 pounds. Furthermore, it comes with Trailer Sway Control plus Downhill Speed Control to help maintain control of the trailer on downward gradients. Meanwhile, the 2024 Traverse can only tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Nissan’s Safety Shield® 360 suite is standard for the 2024 Pathfinder range. It provides systems such as lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and blind spot warning. Rear cross-traffic alert and lane-keeping assistance are included, too.
Buyers can opt for Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist adaptive cruise control system. Also available is an intelligent around-view monitor. The 2024 Traverse only offers some of these features.
The results are in, and it’s a resounding win for the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. It is packed with safety features, a smooth V6 engine, and a comfortable interior. Why not inquire about taking one home today from us at Gettel Nissan? It’s as easy as contacting our Sarasota, FL-based team.
